What is the Feynman Method?

Named after Nobel Prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman, this learning technique is based on the principle that if you can explain something simply, you truly understand it. It’s about learning through teaching.

The Four Steps:

Choose & Brain Dump

Pick a concept you want to learn and write down everything you already know about it. Don’t worry about organization.

Teach It to a Child

Explain the concept as if teaching an 8-year-old. Use simple words, avoid jargon, and create analogies.

Identify Gaps & Research

Notice where you got stuck or used complex terms. These are your knowledge gaps. Research and fill them.

Simplify & Perfect

Review and refine your explanation. Make it simpler, clearer, and more complete with better analogies.
